My name is Patricia Murray Jones. My brothers are James Macklin Murray and Richard Arthur Murray. We are attempting to find out more about our father’s family.
Our father was James Macklin Murray. His parents were Richard Henry and Margaret Spoher Murray . We have a list, written by our mother, Alice Green Murray, that shows there were four brothers: Richard Henry, Jr., William John, Charles Francis, and Frederick Samuel. The first son was born in Minnesota and the rest in Kansas City , Missouri. Our father (the third son) may have been born in Ireland when the family went back there for a visit. The father(Richard Henry), according to the list, was born in 1852 in Ireland and our father (James Macklin) around 1890. This is all we know about our father’s family.
We know nothing about Margaret Spoher. We think she and Richard Henry may have married in Minnesota and lived there long enough to have one son before moving on to Kansas City, Missouri.
